EWO™ is the best and most efficient way to place orders with files to Ridgway's.
However, there are times when just files need to be sent via FTP.
If you are needing a quote, you can use the quote request form. The form allows files of limited size to be sent, or
you can upload the files here and then use the quote request form.
Most Ridgway's locations have alternative ftp. You can access those ftp locations here.
First, review the instructions for your operating system below.
NOTE: Do not upload folders. Please use a ZIP or Stuffit utility and then upload the .zip or .sit file.
PC Internet Explorer Users:
- You do not need to enter a login. Simply select the FTP then click on the entry button.
- You will then be taken to the local FTP per your selection.
- If you are using IE 7+, there is an additional step needed. After logging in,
click Page and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer. These instructions will
also appear on the next screen.
- To upload a file, resize your browser to access your desktop, then drag and drop the
file or folder onto the FTP page.
- The upload FTP sites for some locations are 'blind', which means that you can only see
your files during the upload sesson. If you close the FTP and enter again, the files cannot be seen.
This is a requested security feature to ensure that other client files cannot be seen.
- Contact your Ridgway's representative when the upload is complete.
- If downloading, right-click and choose "Copy to Folder..." or similar phrase (according to your Windows version).
- MAC users can access the downloads FTP but not the uploads FTP via this interface.

- If you close the FTP site and realize that you need to go back in, wait 30 seconds for the page
to refresh or click on the refresh link found below.

PC Users Alternative Using Network Places:
1) Refer to the FTP list at the bottom of the page and write down the FTP information for your location.
2) Contact your local Ridgway's representative for the login information.
3) Open "My Network Places" and click on "Add a network place".
This will open the Network Wizard.
4) Click on "Next", select "Choose another network location" and
click "next" again.
5) The next screen asked you to type the "Internet or network address".
Type the FTP address AND the
directory (if indicated) here and click "next".
6) Deselect "Logon anonymously" and type the User name. Click next.
7) Type a name for the network place or leave the default and click "Next".
8) if not already selected, select "Open this network place when I click
Finish."
9) You will be asked to enter the password. Do so and select to remember
the password.
10) Upload and download as needed and then close the window when done.
11) An FTP shortcut is now in "My Network Places". In the future,
you can just open that shortcut to go the
FTP location you prefer.
MAC users or PC Users Who Prefer FTP Clients :
1) Refer to the FTP list at the bottom of the page and write down the FTP information for your location.
2) Contact your
local Ridgway's representative for the login information.
3) Download the free FTP client here for MAC or here for PC and
install.
